How To Shape Eyebrows |
|
||||||||||||||||||||
|
The first step is tweezing. Start by thinning the eyebrow, then slowly begin to define the arch. The arch should reach the highest point above the middle of your iris. Thin from that point out. The brows are the frame of your eyes. Don't be afraid to tweeze your eyebrows - BUT NEVER SHAVE YOUR EYEBROWS. Spend your money on a good tweezers.
You should also be aware of the balance of the other facial features when shaping the eyebrows. Here are some suggestions for common facial problems: Low Forehead: With a very low forehead, even a moderate arch can leave you looking permanently surprised. Try to use a low arch in shaping the eyebrows to give the forehead more height. Wide-Set Eyes: When a person has widely set eyes, you can make them appear closer together by extending the brows inward a bit. Be cautious, however, not to give a "frowning" appearance. Close-Set Eyes: By shaping the brows a little closer to the inner corner of the eye and extending the outer edge a bit further outward, you can give the illusion that the eyes are further apart. Round Face: Women with round faces will find that an eyebrow shape with a high arch and extended to the end of the cheekbone gives them a more narrow-faced appearance. Long Face: For the long face, flatten the eyebrow arch to almost nothing, this will have the effect of making the face appear shorter. Remember not to extend the brows past the outer corners of the eye in these cases. Square Face: Use a high arch and a rounded curve on the outer ends of the brows to make the square face appear more oval. The general rule of determining the shape of your eyebrow is to hold a pencil vertically alongside your face to the point where the pencil meets your eyebrow. That is the natural starting point.
A.
Imagine a vertical line going up from the outside of your nostril
towards your forehead. The inner part of the eyebrow should converge
with this line.
B. A straight line going out from the outside corner of your nostril past the outer corner of your eye marks the end of your eyebrow. C. Your arch should be found two thirds of the way from your inner eyebrow.
Tweeze the stray hairs between the two starting points. The end point
is found by angling the pencil past the outer corner of your eye.
Remove stray hairs beyond that spot, and from below your natural arch.
The shape and grooming of your eyebrows will make your
eyes look bigger and open up your face more naturally then wearing a lot
of makeup. Be careful, as heavy brows will overpower your face. Shape
your eyebrows by tweezing the hairs from underneath, not from above.
2.
Draw over your eyebrow a very dark outline of the shape you want using
a dark eyebrow pencil. Make sure both eyebrows are as symmetrical as
possible, then remove any hairs outside the outline.
Tweeze after a shower or bath and it will be less
painful.
Most people have a good natural shape; it just
needs to be defined better don't over pluck !
Take the colour that is the closest to your eyebrow
colour and fill in the gaps to make a nicely groomed brow.
If they go red after tweezing apply tee tree
lotion After eye
brow shaping you need to determine your eyebrow make-up color using
your present hair colour as a guideline, whether it's natural or
artificially colored, only go slightly darker. Controlling The Eyebrows back to top 1. With
the help of an eyebrow brush, comb the brows straight up. 5. No
Eyebrows: If your eyebrows have fallen out you may consider getting
them done permanently. This trendy procedure is also called Permanent
Makeup, Permanent Cosmetic Makeup or eyebrow tattoo. Waxing eyebrows is quick but isnt easy, better to go to a beauty salon but this is how its done :
Step by step instructions
to Waxing eyebrows:
back to top Brush the eyebrow into place with an eyebrow wand,
so that their natural shape is neatly defined. Apply a little witch hazel or ice to anesthetize the
sensitive under the brow. For the length - Hold a pencil
parallel to your nose, and level with the inner corner of the eye,
to work out where the brow should begin. If your eyes are close
together, make the gap between the brows wider. If your eyes are far
apart, don’t wax the start line of the brow too much so that they
are closer together. Mark the correct point with a dot.
For the arch- You can work out where
the highest point of the curve/ arch should be by holding a pencil
from the edge of the nostril past the outer edge of the iris of the
eye and up to the eyebrow. Mark the spot with a
dot. Now link up the dots in a gentle arch to draw on the ideal shape of
the eyebrow that you want to achieve. This will give you a guideline
to go by when applying the wax. You should aim for a smooth arched
brow that tapers slightly at the outer ends. T o use proffessional peelabe wax. Warm up the wax
to optimum temperature (test it on your wrist first) and use the
small spatula to apply a thin layer of wax to the growth. Make sure
that you only use a small amount of wax on the spatula to avoid the
wax dripping when it is applied. Apply wax with the hair growth
under the eyebrow, (i.e. in the same direction that the hair grows
in). You can wax a small amout at a time. Never rewax the same area
or it will get sore. When its dry about 40seconds flick the end, pulling
the skin taut with one hand, rip it off quickly against the hair
growth After your waxing pluck out any stray hairs with
tweezers them apply a tee tree lotion. |
